ADROIT AUGMENTED REALITY TECHNOLOGY HEADED TO AT&T SHAPE CONFERENCE

The week is finally here! Our team is packing up the HoloLens, iPads and powerstrips, and taking off for Warner Brothers Studios in Los Angeles, CA. Why? We’re headed to the AT&T Shape Developer Conference!

Gravity Jack has participated in several conferences prior to this, but Shape is different in that it provides an incredible venue for us to put our Adroit technology on full display for everyone at the event (which recently sold out).

Another great aspect of participating in the Shape event is the opportunity to be amongst our fellow influencers in the augmented reality space. Similar to us, teams like Intel, Nokia, Samsung, and others have been hard at work developing the latest and greatest in AR. Being under the same roof gives us all a chance to visit each other’s booths to talk tech and try any new gadgets that are being developed.

When Is The Shape Conference?

Members of the Gravity Jack team will be flying to LA on Thursday (July 13th), where they will have that evening in addition to Friday morning to get our Adroit-themed booth polished and looking good for the tech world’s version of “show and tell”. From there, the doors will open to the public Friday afternoon, and we will officially be off to the races until Sunday morning when we pack our booth up to head home.

What’s At The Gravity Jack Booth?

When people stop by the Gravity Jack booth they will have the ability to strap on Microsoft’s HoloLens, walk around with the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro, or Apple’s iPad Plus and view three different augmented reality experiences that our engineers and developers have been diligently working on.

The first AR experience involves the upper half of a completely white mannequin. When a user points a device at the mannequin, it will overlay 3D organs and show the incredible impact that augmented reality will have on the medical industry. Additionally, the demo will show how our Adroit technology can track a markerless and colorless objects seamlessly.

Our second experience involves Volkswagen carburetor and provides step by step instructions on how to adjust the idle in augmented reality. We feel this sort of use case will be applicable to not only the manufacturing industry but all sorts of do it yourself projects at home. Gone are the days of having to flip through the pages of a pesky manual to find one small instruction. Adroit will have the ability to scan an object, identify the problem, and provide you with an immediate solution to remedy the issue.

The final demo our team will be showing involves a small model of a Ford Mustang. Even though the model is just 1/18th the size of an actual Mustang, we want to explain to users that Adroit has the ability to scan items as small as a screw or as large as a skyscraper.

Once the vehicle is scanned, Adroit will provide the user with several customizable options to alter the car’s appearance (paint color, tires, etc…). We envision this being a major marketing tool for all sorts of sales teams that provide a product that has options.

Come See Us!

If you are in the LA area, we would love for you to stop by and try Adroit out first hand! If you can’t make it, not to worry, our social media pages will be sure to be updated with photos of our team’s experience while at the Shape conference.

It was truly an honor to be invited by AT&T to participate in the conference and a testament to our team’s hard work.
