WOODIE’S WAS SHACK MOBILE APP

As the Woodie’s Wash Shack car wash franchise began to grow, they wanted to create a mobile app that reflected their values of making customer service the number one priority. To make this happen, they partnered with the digital agency at Gravity Jack to develop a dynamic app that is home to several best-in-class features. Whether users were frequent members or simply first-time visitors wanting to learn more about Woodie’s car wash services — Gravity Jack worked hard to ensure the Woodie’s Wash Shack mobile app has it all!

In addition to finding the closest wash shack, the Woodie’s application lets members set up and edit a user profile where they can enter payment information and preload their account with funds. Whenever a user wants a car wash, they select from a variety of Woodie’s signature washes — generating a unique QR code that is easily scanned before the wash. On top of making visits to Woodies seamless, the app tracks the number of car washes a user has purchased for a rewards program. The app’s features don’t stop there! Users can gift car washes to friends and family, contact Woodie’s customer service team, and even receive push notifications to stay up to date on all things Woodie’s Wash Shack-related.

THE GRAVITY JACK PROCESS

The team at Woodie’s came to Gravity Jack looking for a development team who shared their vision of creating a mobile application that will serve as the central hub for all things related to Woodie’s and their car wash services. From purchasing car washes to rewards tracking to contacting customer service, Gravity Jack stayed organized by deploying strategic development sprints throughout the entire project.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

The Woodie’s Wash Shack mobile app is compatible with both iOS and Android devices and allows users who aren’t registered with Woodie’s as a member to navigate the app with ease. Within the app, users can create an account where they then can unlock all of the features that the app offers. Within the application user’s will find a series of tabs that will help them navigate these features.

  • Account setup/editing: Lets users easily change login credentials, add multiple payment methods, and update vehicle information
  • Locate a Woodies: By integrating GPS functionality the app provides users with a list of Woodie’s ordered by proximity. Users can tap on the location for directions and additional contact information specific to that location
  • Shop: Users can shop Woodie’s merchandise and also purchase car washes for friends and family
  • Membership Flexibility: Allows Woodie’s members to change their membership tier at any time while providing additional information about their specific wash plan
  • Prepay for Washes: Members can skip the line at Woodie’s by prepaying for a wash on their phone which generates a unique QR code that can easily be scanned
  • Earn Rewards: Once a QR for a car wash is scanned or merch is purchased, the members account will automatically get credited with reward points that can be redeemed later with a free car wash or merchandise.

Partner Program: Simply by using the Woodie’s app, users can earn coupons to businesses affiliated with Woodie’s Wash Shack

BACKEND DEVELOPMENT

To help the Woodie’s team manage and customize all of the features within the app, Gravity Jack developed a robust backend network. Building this backend framework allows Woodie’s to update information within the app as needed. These features include:

  • Adding or removing merchandise from the shop
  • Push notifications that keep Woodie’s up to date on their personal account and other promotional offers
  • Add new Woodie’s locations as the franchise expands
  • Managing memberships and rewards information

The ability to make these changes based on new arrivals, seasonal promotions, and other factors allows the Woodie’s team to remain agile in their marketing efforts.

FINAL DELIVERY

With customer service being the number one priority, Gravity Jack was able to deliver a dynamic mobile application that will serve as the hub for all things related to Woodie’s Wash Shack. From purchasing their car wash to redeeming reward points, Woodie’s customers will need nothing more than the app downloaded on their phone moving forward.
